Meet Abby (She/Her) —

My relationship with bodywork has never just been about the body.

Your body remembers everything. It’s a roadmap of everything you have ever lived through, and you have a lifetime of experiences that have shaped you.

But your body is not only a time capsule of the past — it’s your bridge to experience this life. Bodywork is wildly underestimated for how profoundly it can support one’s mental health and enrich one's quality of life.

I have my own complicated history of trauma and body pain — I know what it's like to not feel good in body, spirit, and mind. I’m not a licensed mental health counselor, but I’ve been a bodyworker for 15 years, working with women. I have held circles and retreats for women for the past 10 years, and have a vast background in energetics, somatics, and a degree in women’s studies.

My passion is women’s empowerment and liberation — in this world, and in body, spirit, and mind. Bodywork has been a profound part of my own healing, and I consider it a privilege to work with those who feel called.

Anyone who identifies as a woman, non-binary folx who identify with the feminine, and anyone with a female form is welcome. Our stories as women, and in female bodies, are complicated, and I am here to hold space for it all.

A little bit more + Somatics and Specialties

I have been a massage therapist since 2011 and started my work with women, largely working with those processing sexual trauma in their bodies and wombs, and those suffering from various gynecological and hormonal disorders — things like PCOS, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and chronic pelvic pain. I closed my private practice at the start of the pandemic and began working at Mama’s clinic, where I was immersed in working with women through conscious pre-conception, pregnancy, and postpartum, and I simultaneously became a mother myself.

After having my daughter, I decided it was finally time to become a mental health counselor, but I ended up shifting gears along the way to an alternative somatic therapy program for women because I didn’t want to have to separate the bodywork, women’s circles, and feminine embodiment work I was already doing too rigidly — and now I uniquely weave it all.

I have a sister site, The Marigold Women, with more feminine-centric and ceremonial-esque offerings, where I also offer somatic feminine embodiment sessions virtually — but bodywork is my primary way I work with women in person, and you get to make these sessions your own.

You can share as much or as little as you like session by session. I’m very comfortable with silence, and I’m very comfortable holding space for you to spill it all. What you desire may also change day to day, and all modalities and are the same rate intentionally. I like the fluidity of you showing up any day, and feeling into whatever you want and need.

If you want to set up a free consult and chat about what you’re looking for first, you are more than welcome; otherwise, it would be an honor to work with you.
